The AFC is proud to offer social and cultural events for the enjoyment of the greater Charlottesville Community!
Au programme!:
- In person and online social events for our Members only (one-time guests are welcome and will be asked to join the AFC if they wish to attend more of our monthly events). It is not mandatory to speak French to attend our events! You can come to practice your French, share you interest in French or just soak up the language in a French speaking atmosphere for two hours! When in person, those events take place in various locations in town. Separate checks are prearranged and guests may order anything from the regular menu at each establishment. RSVP today for our next social event below – we hope to see you there!
- Annual social events including a Bastille Day celebration (in July), a Wine Tasting evening (in November) and a Holiday Party (in December) as well as our Gala, which is a fundraising event (in May).
- Cultural events – check the schedule below to find our next cultural events. We do offer regular events on a wide variety of French related topics. Some will be in English, some in French, some for Members only, some not... please click on the events to see the details. As a local 501(c)(3) not-for-profit- language school and cultural center, we strive to offer you regular and exclusive cultural events for little to no cost.
