We  specialize in French immersion, the fastest and most effective way to learn a new language. Be ready to be spoken to in French from the moment you enter the class until the moment you leave! Our method is conversation-based and focuses on developing your ability to speak in real life situations. You got it: COMMUNICATION is our focus at the AFC! So do not worry if you make mistake here and there, we will help you with that, the most important is to be able to convey your message to a French speaking interlocutor.

Our group classes offer follows the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and includes 6 levels from A1 (complete beginner) to C2 (fluency).

I am ready - how do I get started?

Step 1: Take our FREE online placement test. An AFC Instructor will review your test and recommend a class that corresponds to your current level of proficiency.

Step 2: Based on our recommendation, pick a class that fits your schedule from the list below. We offer 3 types of classes:

  • Classes following the textbook “Version Originale” curriculum for those who feel more confortable with a structured learning (in green on the list below)

  • Classes based on questions/requests from students in class (called “Specialty classes”) for those who enjoy a bit more spontaneity! - in yellow on the list below.

  • “Pop up classes” focusing on conversation (“Les Petites Conversations”), grammar (“Advanced grammar”), translation, politics, art, history etc… (in blue on the list below)

Step 3: Register! You can sign up for you class online and pay with your credit/debit card. We also accept check (mailed or brought to the AFC office not later than the first day of class)

Class sessions begin every 8 weeks to suit different paces and to fit all lifestyles: next session starts on October 28, 2019 - registration will be open 2 weeks prior.
