Culturethèque is a digital library service offered by the Institut Français. It gives AF members access to eBooks, comic books, children’s picture books and magazines among other things. AF members can consult French language learning materials, listen to concerts, interviews and watch cartoons…all of this for free!

While the majority of content is streaming, some digital items (eBooks and eAudiobooks) can also be borrowed as downloadable files and are loaned for 30 days.

Get started now:

1/ Become an Alliance Française de Charlottesville member

2/ Go to www.culturetheque.com and create your account. Select Alliance Française de Charlottesville as your local chapter.

3/ Forward the message confirming you signed up to director@afcville.org. We will validate and update your registration lasting up to your membership’s date of expiration.

4/ Go to the Culturethèque website and log into your account each time you want to access these great digital resources!
