We offer courses for toddlers through teenagers for both non-native speaker and bilingual students.

For children who are learning French as a foreign language, our curriculum focuses on a fun, educational and age-appropriate environment through cultural and linguistic immersion. Through art, games, songs, and stories, but also reading and writing, children discover the pleasure of speaking, understanding, writing and reading a new language.

Language Immersion, Culture & History SUMMER Camps

with Speak! Language Center and The International School of Charlottesville

Ages: 4*-10 years (mature 4 year-olds welcome!)
Languages: French or Spanish, no previous exposure required, though it is recommended. These camps will be taught in an immersion style (i.e. avoiding English, lots of repetition and gesturing), though instructors will adapt accordingly to each child’s level of comfort and familiarity.

Tuition: $795 (two week camps); $395 (August camp) *Financial Aid available.

Language starts best early. And teaching is accomplished best through play. We combine the two in a class at the Virginia Discovery Museum for children aged 2-5!

Join a native French speaker & local teacher as she shares her favorite songs, traditions and fun à la française in a familiar space giving your children ample time and space to explore a new culture and language at the best Discovery spot in town!

After School French
"Fly with us to France"

Please fasten your seatbelts and prepare to land in...Paris, Normandy, Provence...and more! In our After School Program you children are immersed in French culture and language one hour per week in the convenience of their school classrooms.

This year, join our experienced staff as they wisk your child to Paris and Normandy, discovering monuments, museums, markets, and cuisine. We currently offer our "Fly with us to France" program in elementary schools and our "Art in French" program in middle schools. "Art in French" is also offered to elementary schools during the month of May.

Email our coordinator, Michelle Katstra to learn how your school can become involved in this growing trend to France
